Conflict Diamonds...Subject 4 my last Essay

In the beginning the RUF wanted to overthrow the corrupt government of Sierra Leone. The RUF had support from the people, however the RUF turned into a brutal force and now wanted to control the diamond mines. The war in Sierra Leone lasted from 1991 to 2002 when the peace treaty with the head of the RUF, a revolutionary United Front dedicated to overthrow the Democratic government and turn it into a military government, Fonday Sankoh sign this treaty with the president of Sierra Leone. Fonday died before he was tried in a court system for war crimes committed through the decade of death.
The RUF went to villages and kidnapped young kids starting from the age of 5 to take them to training camps that lasted from 2-3 months and sent them to do massive killings. As the child grew, the RUF gave them drugs right before combat to feel indestructible, and these kids were in the front line because kids are unpredictable in battle. The profit from diamonds that are sold from the RUF to the market are being used to finance a war that involve children. 15% of all diamonds in the world come from conflict zone like Sierra Leone. It may not be much but it still make the RUF a yearly income of millions. Da Beer, a giant in the diamond industry, own 2/3 of all diamonds in the world. The U.S own about 1/3 of all rough diamonds, so the chances of you buying a rough diamond, and you helping finance a war you don't even know going is high.
The RUF is being supplied arms by Liberian rebels who were fighting a war, with the same path as the RUF. During the last year of the war, the Sierra Leone government told the people that their fate is in their hands, RUF then went hunting for civilian mutilating people by chopping their hands off.

Only one more week of skool until we ALL get 1 WHOLE WEEK of VACATION til we start the FALL How EXICTING (being sarcastic);)....like always i cant think of anything when i dont have anything to talk about... hopefully the week we get off i might have time to work on my engine...cuz one of my friend keeps talking trash tht when his car is ready he could take me on....so hopefully i'll have time to put a new intake and a throttle body on my car....the only problem is that during that time the car will be dead n i would hav to take the bus just like ol times....my friends car is almost finish so he is going to be waiting on me to finish...i have a good chance i already one the first time we raced (legally)...with the new parts i'll have a greater chance of winning

Sierra Leone

In my next essay i am planning to write about the terrors that was facing this country for a decade of hardship massacres. The movie Blood diamond is a great example on what the small country was facing. A great documentary is The Diamond Life by Stephen Marshall and Josh Shore. In this documentary it shows the viewer the truth that come from working with the RUF, a rebel organization who is willing at any cost to get power, on becoming a military goverment. RUF kidnaps young kids from their villages and trains them on becoming soldiers to fight what the RUF believe in. Many of these children have no conscious of what they are doing, many have already killed hundred before they even reach sixteen.

This video is hilarious..the first time i saw i was expecting something besides this...even though the music isn't from Iraq it from India, it is still hilarious to watch...it is worth 2mins. of your life...even though the car almost hit the bus those were nice donuts....i have to give credit for that person cuz he has talent.... but he put live at risk for his own enjoy tht is the down side of his actions....he should do tht in a race track were he wouldn't be putting anyone life at risk besides his own....If anyone reads this its better if you watch the video...i dont care if you dont read my writing as long as you watch the video were kool.....and if you spend your time reading this well...yeah you read all this and it wasn't informative....

Killing the Gas Pedal

This video a lagit one....It gets the heart pumpin and with plenty of adrenaline coursing through your veins...The faster you are driving the faster the heart is beating and your vision starts to slow down, but with your reaction twice as fast. Putting your foot down on the gas, your right hand on the steering wheel, the left hand on the shifter, and your left at a moments notice on the clutch to give ur ride more power. This video brings back memories when my friends pull up right next to a car and start reving up each others rides. eager to launch to car while the smell of burning rubber fills the air. Power shifting ur way to the finishing line.

Import vs. Domestic IT DOESN'T MATTER

No one can go wrong with a 98 4.6L mustang (this person did a swap to his car) or as the haters! :( like to call it a sh@tStang. The haters are usually the imports the Honda, Toyota, and Subaru kind of people. Imports believe that an American car is going to break down much quicker than an Import, but what it comes down to is how you take car of your car. In these two videos you be the judge which type of car is better. What you gain in gas mileage with an import you lose in horsepower, vise versa with an American Muscle. An American Muscle might have more horsepower and torque but their gas guzzlers.
This one of my favorite videos, its a 98 Honda ex with many modification that make it be at the same level as an American muscles. This video is for all the import lovers, and they should realize that with all of these modification now they can compete with Domestic. who am i to say this well just check out these videos and make your own decision on which type of cars are better.

LIGHT SHOWS!!!!!

This video is sick (using the word "sick" in a good meaning). I feel terrible for the guy who is staring at cuz she look like if she or he was gone, out of it.
to do a light show has to take many practices to do what ever design you want to do. It take time do it in front of your mirror and to make a short but awesome display of lights. I have seen many people look into those lights and start to daze off, and they go into this state of mind that is incomplete amazement. It is hilarious if the person is watching start to drool or just pass out for some reason. I know a couple of people who have the gloves to do all these kinds of stunts. It is very common to see these in raves, warehouse parties, and anywhere people hand out during the night at parties. I might say that it is a work of art and other people might disagree with me, simply because they won't see it the same way i am. If for some reason the videos dont work just look up light show in your spare time.

Mistreated while crossing the Bordr Prt .2

We just had finish arriving at the airport. Waiting for the plane to arrive from Guanajuato and looking for anyone suspicious because we didn't want to get pick pocketed, we still wanted our wallets in our pockets.

Once my mom arrived, we made a quick dash to the truck and didn't leave anyone behind at the airport. Along the way toward the line to cross the U.S we saw many crosses and caskets on a wall. Signifying the people that have died trying to cross the border.

While waiting to cross into U.S. soil, we were stopped by local street performers, who were doing anything for some change. We could believe the amount of kids under the age of 7 who were their cleaning any part of a car to make some change.

We finally got to the line, were a border patrol was checking if we were citizens. We looked at him and we all realized, just by looking at him that he was a racist by the way he looked at us. I was wearing the Spain soccer Jersey and my friend next to me just bought a pirated Mexican jersey, which he just had bought and decided to wear it. I was told why we decided to go to Mexico and in a nice manner
"we came to pick up my mom from the airport" I replied
"Why are u wearing that jersey" he said
"take that jersey off!" he said
"you don't have the right to do that sir." I said
"STEP OUT OF THE CAR! SMART *SS !!" he said
So i did what he told me to do. I was very angry, but i didn't really show him that i was because he would have a reason to detain me. My shirt was off and i was about to put it inside the car, the border patrol thought that i was reaching for something in my car, in which he believed that i was reaching for a weapon. He got my arm and pined me against the truck. This is what he should of down instead of almost breaking my arm.

I told him that i was just going to put my shirt in my car. The border patrol told me that i should of warned him that i was going to put my shirt in the car. I switched places with my friend after that incident because my arm was in a little bit of pain. That was the worst thing that has happened to me while going to TJ.

Mistreated While Crossing the Border (Prt 1)

I was heading to TJ on Sunday, picking up my mom from the airport. I went with 3 of my friends who had nothing to do and decided to join me and my quest to come back alive from TJ. Along the way we realized that none of us had passport,but we did have our drivers license. Along the way we say many things that we didn't like. For example this sign

We thought we were going to see people crossing the freeway so i was driving extra slow around 80mph. We did see plenty of border patrol along the way, but we didn't see any immigrant crossing, and if they were crossing they were doing a good job, not that i approve or anything.
It was around 9:30ish when we crossed to Mexico, AT NIGHT!!!!, at the time we thought we were unstoppable. I was glad that i brought a couple of friends because you cant see anything after you cross the border, because there aren't any street lights. We were joking around not to be afraid of anything because we didn't want to end up like this :(

a teacher from last semester assigned the class to view this video clip.....and recently i just finished watching it because it was pretty long.....i had no idea it was going to be about on how the U.S is making other countries fight one another....The U.S is giving bribes to foreign politician to favor the U.S. policies....If they don't The U.S starts to use propaganda in our country that make us view that country in a negative way......Hugo Chavez is an Example of this in action....before i saw this video i truly believed that Hugo Chavez was the devil.....simply because that's what i heard in the news.....Everything about Hugo Chavez is false....Its just that the media is influencing our thinking and our views of other people outside of the U.S.....In this video i learned that the U.S. was behind the attempted overthrow of the government and to get rid of Hugo Chavez....In the media here it was said that a revolution was occurring in Venezuela by anti-Hugo Chavez protester....totally false the U.S wanted to overthrow the goverment not the people.....Later in the Video i found out that it was the U.S that was behind......It has proof that has been going on....You can watch this video at freedocumentaries.org

Spain Domination!!! Over European Nation!!!!!!

Same memories for the Germans ova the Euro 2008....The Germans had a chance to face the Spaniards and win...unsuccessfully they couldn't keep up with the amazing defense that the Spaniards put up.....To my surprise the Spaniard won even though they were favored to win it all by sports commentators....Spain has an edge when it came to the world cup this year....more than half of the squad know how each one plays...Barcelona one of the world most dominating teams in European history, half of Barcelona's' players are from Spain and are the starters this Cup....That the edge that Spain has over these teams...all other team that played in the world cup, only had a few months to get to know each other...I truly believed that the Germans were going to overcome the unstoppable team that Spain has become...... I am going for the Netherlands for the final cuz they are the underdogs.......The Netherlands haven't lost a match nor will they in this 2010 World Cup......

cant really think of anything to write....i was just realized in class that we aren't having skool on Monday.....i was ready to come on Monday prepared to class.....good thing that one of my partners told me tht we weren't havin skool on Monday....i would have been the only idiot showing up to class......we'll i might play soccer later on if i have time.....oh yeah i'll probably eat first cuz i wont have enough energy to run......cant wait for tuesday when i can stop worrying about the essay.....hopefully i will make some corrections....i think this is 100 words if not, i'll just keep doin wat i am doing right now....so yeah...today the Angels play against Texas.....Kyran (i think thats how you spell her name....sorry if i mispelled it) told me that she's going to go so hopefully I'll spot her on TV n tell her that she had a moment in TV......imma start counting the words that i have writin so far....if ur reading this thank you for paying attention....i guess

WHY!!!!!!!VLANDY

i was one of those ppl who wanted Vlady out of the Angels.....i regret tht...i said tht cuz he is now at his all time best... he is really helping out the Texas Ranger Ball Club....Yesterday he really showed mike on why they should have kept him and not traded him for Matsui....Matsui is great and all but he cant compete with the number that Guerrero is putting up....Guerrero hit tht grand slam and the solo shot homerun....I really think that it was great for Guerrero to exceed in his new team but come on having already 3 and yet to come against his own team....Guerrero really wanted to win....cuz he almost ended up slidding into one of his best pals Erick Aybar...It was in Guerreros best interest to move on.....
